When we started the kids on solid foods, I loved this website: www.wholesomebabyfood.com. I recommend it to everyone now. It has a great list of age recommendations for different foods and some great ideas for recipes. Their broccoli-cheddar nuggets are great! So, imagine my pleasure when I discovered this site: www.wholesometoddlerfood.com. Fantastic! It was created in response to all the parents writing in to wholebabyfood.com, asking for them to include ideas for older kids. And include they did!

The website is geared for children aged 1-4 years. There are sample menus, great recipe ideas and “fast meals” as well as some information around nutrition. There are even suggestions around what to do about that “picky eater“. As I have one of these, I find these suggestions quite helpful. Browse, read, enjoy…and pass on any favorite online food resources to us here at HDYDI!

  1. Ooh, excellent! I was just thinking that I need some new go-to foods. I just made zucchini muffins today, we’ll see if the kids like them. I’ll try to make them healthier next time with whole wheat flour and all of that, but still… what’s not to like?
