This disturbing news of late has gotten me thinking: What have these parents done wrong that their child has left their home, is suing them for her tuition and living expenses, and making headlines for all the world to see?
As this mother, the oldest of my children is not yet even 4, but I feel a deep dread that if these seemingly decent parents could end up in court airing all their family’s dirty laundry as a result of their private-school-honor-student cheerleader daughter, I very well could too.
I’m sure as time goes on, details about this case will come to light, and then we will begin to understand how this relationship got to such a dire place. But for right now, I am grateful that my children are young, and all they want is Mommy to hold them when she picks them up after work.

I read this too and it bothered me SO much. I admit, I’m a terrible daughter myself and I’m sure my parents consider me as hurtful as these parents do this child. But I certainly wasn’t seeking money for them or disrespectful of their rules. It’s telling that the CPS officer pronounced her merely spoiled, not at all abused.
I think the girl is a spoilt ridiculous child but still a child. I blame the parents of the best friend who took her in and sponsored a lawsuit instead trying to mediate the situation for a positive outcome that builds up the family unit instead of tearing it down
